Beta version of Printer Activity Monitor 2.0b just released

List of changes(versus 1.2b):

• the bug with fonts in the calendar was fixed
• the support of wildcards (* and ?) on the creating reports by documents was added
• a feature of generating a report by all list items at the same time was added for user defined reports
• a feature of fast search of the selected document was added
• added the support of remote PAM agents
• added the application for viewing printed documents
• a feature to monitor new properties of the printed documents: "Printing Type" (B/W, Color) and "Page Size" was added
• improved the stability of PAM Server service
• now the program checks if there is a second running copy of the program
• a legend was added in the diagram
• the error that sometimes appeared when reports were sent by e-mail was fixed
• two buttons were added on the report control panel: Save as User Defined Report and Add a task of generating current report to the Task Scheduler
• a feature of specifying time additionally in the date field was added
• a feature of reassigning values of some fields using the context menu was added in the Log. You can reset values for a certain record or for a set of selected records.
• added a feature of choosing the report style: Flat or Hierarchical. When you use the Hierarchical style you can form complicated analytical samplings
• added a feature of changing the sequence order for sections when you generate main reports
• new templates were added to the list of available templates($YYYY$, $MMMM$ etc) in the file name where the file will be saved when the task of report generation is performed according to the scheduler. See the documentation for more information
• the “Password Confirmation” field was added in the scheduler to exclude the situation when a password is entered incorrectly
• added french resource file
• fixed a lot of small bugs

Upgrade instructions:

• create a backup copy of C:\Program Files\Printer Activity Monitor\DB folder
• uninstall the previous PAM version
• install new version into the same directory
• due to the built-in autoupdate mechanism, it will automatically convert the database into the new format, update user defined reports, report templates and so on. But since it is a beta version, you should copy the entire program directory before updating the program.
• the registration key of the old version does not work with the new version of the program that is why you should keep in mind that the program will be automatically switched to the evaluation version with all the corresponding limitations. The procedure of obtaining new registration keys will be published after the period of beta testing the software is over.
