Web filter for Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) designed to automatically resolve client IP addresses into DNS computer names and to automatically add new items to the Computers list of the Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) console.
The administrator of Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) sometimes needs to configure Policy Rules in such a way that the name of a network user's computer would be used in the conditions. It is often impossible because Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) does not have features allowing it to automatically resolve user IP addresses into the DNS computer names. That is why the administrator first needs to add a new item to the ISA Server (Forefront TMG) configuration and only after that he can use this item in conditions. However, in case of a large corporate network or a running DHCP server (when it is unknown beforehand what address will this or that computer have), this configuration method does not make any sense at all.
Client Host Name Resolver is a special web filter that is built into Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) allowing you to solve the above problem.
After the quick and easy installation of the program, you will get an automated system for keeping the Computers list in the most updated state: the program will automatically create the necessary items in the Computers list and if an item with this name already exists, it will be automatically updated and it will get the new IP address value.
The program works with Microsoft ISA Server 2004/2006/Forefront TMG. Both Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition (requires installation on all array members) are supported. No special configuration is required. The system runs completely automatically.
