URL Normalizer

Web filter for Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) designed to automatically convert the IP addresses of visited sites into their text representation.

The administrator often comes across the situation when there is absolutely no time, wish or possibility to reconfigure the network infrastructure and client software in order to provide Internet access. Fortunately, this problem no longer exists with Microsoft ISA Server 2004. Now it is enough to configure the server software, the DHCP server and all clients automatically get the necessary configuration of their network components.

Clients accessing the Internet in this mode (that does not require software to be configured on the client side) are called SecureNAT clients.

However, despite all pluses and advantages of this mode there is a small problem. As you can see on the screenshot, the addresses of all sites visited by SecureNAT clients are written to the server log files as IP addresses, which makes it less comfortable to analyze this data.

URL Normalizer

URL Normalizer is a special web filter that is built into Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) allowing you to solve the above problem.

After the quick and easy installation of the program, you will get the result similar to the one you can see on the screenshot below.

URL Normalizer

The program works with Microsoft ISA Server 2004/2006/Forefront TMG. Both Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition (requires installation on all array members) are supported. No special configuration is required. Everything runs completely automatically.
